Flowspace is a software-driven fulfillment provider that places your inventory across warehouses in the United States and Canada and runs them from one platform. Orderfy is a tech-enabled, modern 3PL with one warehouse in Garland, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and Orderfy WMS, a proprietary WMS built in-house, included for every client. Here is how they compare for a Shopify brand shipping 5,000 or more orders a month.
We are Orderfy, so we are not neutral. We kept this comparison to facts you can check: the Flowspace details come from Flowspace's own website, as of October 2026, with links at the end. Prices and policies change, so confirm anything important with Flowspace directly.
Choose Flowspace if you sell through DTC plus retail, wholesale and marketplaces and want inventory placed in several locations, with EDI and FDA-registered facilities, as of October 2026. Choose Orderfy if you are a high-volume Shopify or Amazon brand that wants one central Dallas-Fort Worth warehouse, Orderfy WMS (proprietary, built in-house) included, photo records of shipments and direct 24/7 access to the warehouse team.

Where is Flowspace stronger?
Flowspace is built for brands whose fulfillment is getting more complex. These are the areas where it has the edge.
- Multiple locations. Flowspace says it keeps inventory close to demand across the US and Canada and offers a free fulfillment analysis to decide placement. If you want stock on both coasts or in Canada, a single warehouse cannot do that.
- Retail, wholesale and EDI. Flowspace lists EDI for retail replenishment, marketplace orders and APIs for custom or enterprise systems. If retail compliance drives your decision, ask every 3PL you shortlist to show its EDI capability in writing.
- Regulated products. Flowspace says its infrastructure includes FDA-registered facilities, lot tracking and expiration date management for food, beverage, wellness and beauty brands.
- Network optimization software. Its platform includes network optimization, order routing rules and carrier selection, designed for brands running several nodes.
- Switching incentives. Flowspace promotes up to $50,000 through its Fulfillment Freedom Fund to help brands leave a bad 3PL.
Where is Orderfy stronger?
Orderfy is narrower on purpose. It is a modern 3PL for high-volume Shopify and Amazon brands, and these are the areas where it fits better.
- A WMS included, not a software project. Orderfy WMS is proprietary software Orderfy built in-house, and it is included for clients. You get full visibility into inventory and products, track orders at every stage, and can update product prices from the WMS.
- Native Shopify integration. Inventory syncs in real time, tracking reaches Shopify instantly after a label, and split shipments are supported.
- One central warehouse. From Dallas-Fort Worth, ground reaches both coasts quickly, and all your stock sits in one place. There is one inbound shipment to plan and one inventory count to reconcile.
- Photo records. Orderfy photographs shipments so you can see what left the building without opening a ticket.
- Direct access to the team. Every client gets direct communication channels for 24/7 access to the warehouse team, and dedicated staff who learn the specifics of your brand.
- Surge handling. Product launches and limited-time drops are handled by the same dedicated team rather than a new location.
- Weekly billing with autopay. Charges arrive weekly, so you see cost movement early.
- Amazon FBA prep in the same building. If you also sell on Amazon, Orderfy Prep tracks prep from arrival to sellable in the same WMS. Consolidated full-truckload freight into Amazon costs less than small parcel.
Who is Orderfy not a good fit for?
Orderfy may not be the right pick if you need stock in Canada or in several US regions on day one, if your catalog is regulated and you need a specific certification, or if you want a vendor whose main product is network-planning software. In those cases a multi-location provider like Flowspace is worth a serious quote.
How do pricing and minimums compare?
Neither company publishes rates. Flowspace says pricing depends on order volume and shipment mix, storage footprint and number of locations, product handling and value-added services, and that it sends a proposal with itemized pricing after reviewing your data. Orderfy also quotes from your numbers and itemizes every charge.
The structural difference is the number of locations. Every extra node adds inbound freight, safety stock and reconciliation work, and it can cut parcel zones. One node does the opposite. Which is cheaper depends on where your customers are, so ask both providers to quote the same 10,000-order sample with your real destination mix and your average package weight. Our 3PL cost calculator shows how to compare an itemized rate card with a bundled one.
Which should you choose?
| If this describes you | Better starting point |
|---|---|
| Shopify brand with parcel-sized products, 5,000+ orders a month, wants a modern 3PL with its WMS included | Orderfy |
| You want inventory in several US regions or in Canada from the start | Flowspace |
| You need photo records and a direct line to the people packing your orders | Orderfy |
| You sell through retail partners and need EDI | Ask every shortlisted 3PL, including Flowspace, to show its EDI capability in writing |
| You also sell on Amazon and need FBA prep with freight into Amazon | Orderfy |
| You sell regulated products that need lot tracking and expiration management | Flowspace, or ask Orderfy about your specific requirements |
What should you ask both providers?
- Which location or locations would hold my inventory, and why?
- What is the all-in cost per order for my sample 10,000 orders, including postage, packaging and pick fees?
- What minimums or contract terms apply, in writing?
- How does inventory sync with Shopify, and how fast does tracking return after a label?
- What happens to a mis-pick: do you reship free and credit the fee?
- Who do I talk to when something goes wrong at night or on a weekend?
